Here I just want to reflect a little on the film making process and the months that have led up to it. Aside from being a part of my university degree, I wanted to make a film about local music, and the people within the local music scene as it has been a part of my life since I was born, my mum apparently took me to my first gig before I was even born and still in her womb. Let's begin at the beginning, the first classes of the term were interesting, our lecturer had a quite unique teaching style, at least in terms of what I have encountered within anthropology before! The very first lesson in particular felt more to me like the drama classes we would do in secondary school, it was not at all what I expected and I did begin to think I had made a mistake in taking the module. But we did also move on to some work with the camera and it was good to get to know some of the classmates I hadn't met before through using the camera with them. As the term progressed we moved onto more technical filming stuff, and eventually onto the editing process itself, which is when filming started to begin for most of us. My own film has actually changed from what the original idea had been, but this is due to the nature of the awesome venue that is the Lady Luck! It was the last event I was to film and provided me with so much good footage I decided to change my idea to a day at a gig at the Lady Luck pub in Canterbury, Kent. The filming itself was great fun, however the editing process, and indeed also the making of this website, have been rather stressful at times. I'm not sure I would want to go through the process again to be honest. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy my film. And if you have never been before you should all go to a gig at the Lady Luck!

Fully packed night for filming at the pub!
